Baseball?

So, the Boston Red Sox kind of suck this year. I've been all wrapped up in the NBA playoffs, and have not been keeping up too much with baseball, but I know that much. The team has really struggled with pitching. The team has already fired their pitching coach and hired a new one. The offense for the most part has been pretty good, but not as great as expected thus far.
I'm not the only one in this situation, as many others like me have been less and less interested in baseball. It is simply not as entertaining as it used to be when players were on steroids. I think the game needs some adjustments to bring in more young fans like myself. I'm not quite sure what that is, but it needs to happen fast. If your team is not in the race most people simply are not interested in the baseball.

MLB Needs a Change

Kind of funny how the sport of baseball has seemed less and less interesting over the last couple of years. It really seems to have become a regional sport. When the Boston Red Sox were making a world series run a couple of years ago, I followed every second. However, last year the team was in last place, and I could care less. Meanwhile sports like Football and Basketball have grown in popularity. In football the teams are throwing for more yards and more touchdowns than ever. In the NBA the teams are scoring more and more points, and taking even more shots from downtown. Meanwhile baseball has started to hit less and less home runs. The big plays matter to the casual fan, and if those big plays don't happen as much, then the casual fan will stop watching. Baseball needs to do something if they wan people to start watching again, and not just the old men who still consider it America's pastime.

New Red Sox Signings Will Make Red Sox Exciting Again

With the Boston Red Sox signing both Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez earlier this week, Boston now has the makings of a very exciting lineup. With the consistent bats of Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz returning, to go along with the young talent of Xander Bogaerts and Mookie Betts the Red Sox should return to the formidable offense we are used to seeing. The new signings and Yoenis Cespedes with Allen Craig, Boston will be putting a dent in the green monster throughout the summer. Now if they can sign Jon Lester and add more pitching Boston should be back in the fall classic in no time.
