Did Philly Make the Right Move?
Chip Kelly's controversial trade for Sam Bradford may not be a horrible move, like everyone is making it out to be. Sam Bradford is a former number one overall pick out of Oklahoma, a man who who the Heisman trophy and led his Sooners to the national championship game. Bradford ran a fast paced offense using a lot of quick throws, similar to the kind of offense Chip Kelly uses. Bradford could really be a great fit with the Philadelphia Eagles. The real questionable part about this move is the fact that Bradford has been injured much of his career, rarely able to play a full season. He is also a much more expensive player than the man he was traded for Nick Foles. Folks makes around $600,000 a year, while Bradford costs around $13 million. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out, but I'm not one to question Chip Kelly yet, he has won everywhere he's coached thus far.

A Matchup of Pac-12 Minds
This weekend is full a huge football games. The Sunday slate is action packed, including an NFC battle between Seattle and Philadelphia. Pete Carroll leads his Seahawks into Philly to face another former Pac-12 coach in Chip Kelly. Another intriguing aspect of this game is that the Eagles starting quarterback used to play for Carroll at USC; Mark Sanchez. Seattle seems to be finding itself as the season moves towards the stretch run. The defense has been great the last two weeks in wins over Arizona and San Francisco. I have a feeling that Philly may come away with this one however. A combination of the home-field advantage, and the high-powered offense led by Kelly, has me feeling like the Eagles will come away with the win 27-23.
